Betty's Baby Bank is run by Love North Southwark CIC. The Baby Bank is a non profit project that has been created to help local families with children under five who need support. Through donations from the community we provide baby and toddler essentials to families in need such as nappies, clothing, prams, baby food and more.
The initiative has been set up by Kathleen Heather who founded the Love North Southwark charity and won the Keib Thomas Active Citizen of the year award from Community Southwark’s Southwark Stars awards for her efforts in the local community. She was also recognised as one of 500 outstanding volunteers to be chosen as the nation's coronation champions.
She wanted to honour her young granddaughter with her next community project which is where the name 'Betty's Baby Bank' originates from.
We're proud to announce that Betty's Baby Bank has been recognised for our outstanding work in the past year by the Faith and Belief Group in partnership with Southwark Council. This accolade celebrates our dedication to helping the community.
Our approach is welcoming and friendly. We want to help as many local families as possible through these tough times and beyond. No referral is required although we do ask that you contact us to make an appointment. We welcome any families who need support.
